County’s Division of Military and Veterans’ Services relocates

Responding to the growing demand for veterans’ services, Burlington County Freeholder Director Joe Donnelly announced that the county’s Division of Military and Veterans’ Services has relocated to more spacious offices at the Human Services Facility on Woodlane Road in Westampton.

“This is a case where the numbers truly tell the story,” Donnelly said. “Our military and veteran clients have tripled over the past three years. And last year, the office processed more than $18 million in claims — more than any other county in the state.
“With the expanded space, each veteran service officer has a separate office, and can offer veterans privacy to discuss their personal medical issues,” Donnelly said. “We also added an office for vocational rehabilitation counseling, so our veterans no longer have to travel to Trenton for processing.”

Space is now also available for post-traumatic stress counseling, and a conference room is available for group sessions.
The new suite also includes individual workstations, where veterans can complete paperwork.

“More than 4,500 veterans visited the offices in 2012, and 2013 appears to be on another record pace,” Donnelly said.
“Relocating and expanding the offices makes for a better environment for veterans and our staff alike.”

The new suite is located on the third floor of the building.

For veterans with disabilities and mobility challenges, the elevator is within easy access.

Those wishing to schedule a consultation to review eligible benefits should call (609) 265–5008.
