Cherry Hill teams compete at Walt Disney World

The following cross country teams competed among more than 3,600 total athletes from around the country at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The team members traveled to Walt Disney World Resort Oct. 11 and 12, to take part in the Disney Cross Country Classic presented by New Balance.

Members of the Cherry Hill East High School girl’s cross country team, members of the Cherry Hill East High School boy’s cross country team, members of the Cherry Hill West High School girl’s cross country team, and members of the Cherry Hill West High School boy’s cross country team.

Through an open registration process cross country teams and individuals from middle school through college level are given the opportunity to compete against top competition at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in front of an audience of thousands. Highlights from the races can be seen on a variety of ESPN platforms such as ESPN3.com, the ESPNWWOS YouTube channel, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex digital network, and the Walt Disney World Resort dedicated in-room TV channel.

New this year, the Disney Cross Country Classic was presented by New Balance as part of their larger relationship with Disney.

New Balance was recently announced as the title sponsor of the Track and Field facility at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the official athletic shoe of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Specifically for the Disney Cross Country Classic, New Balance also invited two “elite” cross-country teams to compete in the Girls and Boys 4A Varsity 5K competitions.
