According to Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Haddonfield Acting Police Chief Ted Steussey in a release, a body was found in the borough Monday that appears to be a victim of a suspicious death.
The male body was found by joggers in a wooded area in Haddonfield near Merion shortly before 5 p.m.Due to decomposition, identifying the man is not possible at this time.
According to the release, an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday, which will confirm cause of death and the evidence gathered at the scene indicates the man’s death is suspicious.
The prosecutor’s office’s homicide unit is leading the investigation.
Further information will be released after an autopsy is completed, the release said.
The Haddonfield Police Department could not be reached for comment at this time.
