On Sept. 15, Team Evesham was presented with an award from the state Legislature for its remarkable efforts of community leadership and exemplary volunteerism.
State Sen. Dawn Addiego presented the team with this recognition for fundraising and in raising more than $350,000 for charities since the team was formed in 2008.
She specifically called out the efforts for the National MS City to Shore Ride and the other charity rides that the team participates in during the year.
The resolution also commended Team Evesham for its weekly training rides, which promote safe cycling awareness and physical activity.
In 2012, Team Evesham was one of only three teams that exceeded $100,000 in fundraising for the MS Society ride.
The team is also the largest friends and family team that rides in the City To Shore Bike Tour.
The Evesham Celebration Foundation sponsors Team Evesham.
