Resident: The Zoning Board itself needs an adjustment
Why stop “short of asking for the resignations of the members of the Haddonfield Zoning Board of Adjustment?”
In a letter in the July 10–16, edition on page six, Mrs. Shay’s and the aggrieved neighbors to PJ Ward’s apparently illegal activities on Maple Avenue experienced what many before them have — an imperious, attitudinal, kiss-our-arses approach to meting out decisions in reply to variance requests.
The chairman, in particular, is an especially caustic character.
It should have no bearing on the facts whether a petitioner “is one of the good guys” or Darth Vader.
And, if anybody wants to make my comments out to be “personal,” go ahead. I am one person challenging others. Holler back or . . .
Apologize and then resign.
The Zoning Board itself needs an adjustment away from the anti-resident approach demonstrated and observed.
A new board might bring that, adding honor and integrity to service.
