Haddonfield’s Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is coming back to Haddonfield for the 21st year from Saturday, July 13, to Sunday, July 14.
More than 250 vendors will be spread out along Kings Highway from Washington Avenue to Haddon Avenue and along Tanner Street to Euclid Avenue.
The festival is one of the largest two-day outdoor Haddonfield events, attracting more than 100,000 people, event organizer Marcy Boroff said.
“It’s a great way of highlighting Haddonfield’s wonderful restaurants and stores,” Boroff said, adding the event is filled with previous vendors and fresh faces.
According to Boroff, 275 vendors will display and sell items ranging from handcrafted jewelry, wooden rocking chairs, clothing, toys, beauty products, artwork and more.
Musicians, artists and other crafters will also have tents set up displaying their work.
Boroff said the festival gives artists a chance to share their work with the public. But if an artist is not ready to have a tent at the fair, Boroff said she encourages him or her to visit the fair and talk with other vendors.
“It’s a very supportive community and people will help each other,” she said.
Haddonfield resident and painter Missy Mohn Schwartz will be at the event displaying her artwork, as well as Collingswood resident and handcrafted jeweler Coco Paniora Salinas.
This year, the festival has an addition. Instead of vendors just setting up on Kings Highway, there will be 10 vendors, a moon bounce and face painters on the sidewalk between Haddon Avenue and Borough Hall.
“We really want the crafters to highlight the town. It’s about the crafters and it’s about the town,” Boroff said, adding most mark this event on their calendar and do their holiday shopping there.
But the craft show is not just about highlighting crafters and the town. It is about adding to the historic feel of Haddonfield, she said.
“Our history is always evolving, and I think the craft fair in Haddonfield is one of the things they talk about,” she said.
The fair is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. Admission and parking are free.
