Alexa Nawrocki Pediatric Cancer Foundation awarded grants
The and Food Allergy Research & Education, Inc. were recently awarded grants from the Ravitz Family Foundation.
This funding was part of the foundation’s annual support of local charitable organizations, religious groups, schools and members of the community in need.
Using this grant, the Alexa Nawrocki Pediatric Cancer Foundation will provide ShopRite gift cards to families in need who are impacted by this disease. In addition to monetary assistance, this charitable organization strives to bring happiness to children who are struggling with cancer.
“Having a child with cancer is very stressful for families, and in most instances, one parent has to stop working to care for the child. The grant from the Ravitz Family Foundation will help alleviate some of these families’ financial strain, and we’re grateful for the rewarding opportunity to help these families in their time of need,” said Joann Nawrocki, vice president of the Alexa Nawrocki Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
FARE works on behalf of the 15 million Americans with food allergies including those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis.
This grant will aid this nonprofit organization in its mission to ensure the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies and find a cure for this health condition.
The Ravitz Family Foundation selected these charitable organizations based on their commitment to aiding South Jersey children and families in need.
