Body retrieved from pond in Mt. Laurel

Mt. Laurel Police are investigating the death of a 35 year old man, of the 800 block of Woodchuck Dr., Mt. Laurel. The body was retrieved from underwater of a pond, located in the Patricia Meadows development of Mt. Laurel, by the New Jersey State Police. Reports indicate the man was last seen fishing at this pond around 8:30 p.m. yesterday. Mt. Laurel Police were called around 3:45 p.m. today when a concerned citizen observed fishing rods, tackle and valuables left unattended at the pond. The investigation is ongoing but it appears the death was accidental.
