On May 22, at 7 p.m. Haddonfield resident Joe Burcher and co-author Robert Kenselaar will discuss and sign copies of “Remembering South Cape May: the Jersey Shore Town that Vanished into the Sea.”
For all who love the Jersey Shore and Cape May in particular, this is a quaint history of the tiny town of South Cape May, long gone and now just a memory. Few would imagine that the land currently occupied by the Nature Conservancy’s Cape May Migratory Bird Refuge, or “the Meadows,” was once the picturesque Jersey Shore town of South Cape May.

Join one of the town’s last residents, Burcher, as he chronicles life in South Cape May before the angry Atlantic swallowed this serene town. Burcher will autograph copies of the book after the discussion.
