The monthly meeting of the Horticultural Society of South Jersey on Tuesday, April 9th at 7 p.m. at the Carman Tilelli Community Center, 820 Mercer St., Cherry Hill, presents an herb container gardening workshop.
For people who want fresh herbs all summer long, but don’t have the space to plant them in the ground, containers can be the answer. Culinary herbs can be grouped together in a large pot situated in a sunny spot just outside the kitchen door where they can be conveniently clipped and added to your favorite recipes. This hands-on workshop will demonstrate how to build a container herb garden. Bring a container, potting soil, plants of herbs you like to use in your kitchen, and tools.
