POLICE: Burglary halted by quick response of department

On March 13 at 3:37 p.m., the Cherry Hill Police Department responded to the old Baker Lanes bowling alley on Cuthbert Boulevard for a report of a burglary in progress. Patrol units discovered that a rear window was broken, and a witness reported he had observed someone climbing into the building.

Responding officers included Chief Rick DelCampo, Sgt. Chris Branda, and Officers Jason Salvatore and Gary DeAlessio.

Chief DelCampo and his officers entered the building to search for the suspect. Once inside the vacant structure police discovered a 30-year-old man of the unit block of McArthur Boulevard in Collingswood hiding within the building. He was taken into custody and charged with Burglary and remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
