Medford Newcomers’ Book Group wins free books

Medford Newcomers’ Book Group recently won free books for its members from the publisher of best-selling author, Kristin Hannah. Each member received a copy of Hannah’s novel, “Home Front.”

The publisher is seeking feedback from the book group, concurrent with the “Home Front” paperback launch in February.

“Home Front” focuses on family life through the lens of military women in combat and war veterans’ transitions to life at home.

These topics are as relevant as today’s headline stories — and sparked a lively discussion at the group’s February meeting.

Although all members shared personal insights into the story, several members offered unique perspectives as wives of military men.

The group was able to provide strong and varied responses to the publisher, St. Martin’s Press.

The Medford Newcomers’ Book Group meets monthly to discuss both fiction and non-fiction. Residents from Medford and surrounding communities are welcome to join. For more information call Margaret at (856) 985–0365.
