Albright, a 26-year resident of Haddonfield, has a proven record of civic leadership, with more than a decade of involvement ranging from her current roles as the Chair of the borough’s Historical Preservation Commission and President of the Historical Society of Haddonfield to her efforts at the forefront of the community’s Civic Association. Her campaign for commissioner will focus on lessons learned in these leadership roles as well as her own business experience.

“After 26 years, my volunteer work in Haddonfield has led me to the obvious choice to run for borough commissioner. Haddonfield is a unique community that has always relied on people pitching in whenever they can. Although the role of borough commissioner is a part-time position, I will treat it as a full-time commitment, just as I’ve dedicated myself to every other community leadership role I’ve had the privilege of filling,” Albright said.

Her campaign will emphasize open and efficient government, including better and easier use of technology to improve transparency, and extending the tradition of accessibility that allows Haddonfield residents to freely communicate with elected officials. When working with the Civic Association, she strongly advocated for and worked as a key member of the team that introduced videotaping of all Commissioner and School Board meetings. This is an example of her commitment to maximizing resident access to our governmental bodies. These videos are available on the Civic Association’s website.

“Using the technology that’s available to us to improve residents’ and community members’ relationship with Haddonfield is just one simple idea that will reap huge benefits,” Albright said, summing up her philosophy as “Preserving what’s best, improving the rest.”
