Local player nominated for McDonald’s All American Games

McDonald’s has announced its list of 814 high school seniors who have been nominated to play in the 2013 McDonald’s All American Games.

This year’s list boasts players from 39 states and the District of Columbia who have been selected by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee.

The Cherry Hill player nominated for the 2013 games is Kyle Green of Camden Catholic High School.

The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls who will be selected to play in the 2013 Games will be announced during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU on Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. ET.

“Camden County has a long history of elite basketball talent and the nomination of two local players signifies the hard work and dedication of our young student-athletes. They contribute to their schools, the community and the game,” said John Durante, president, Phil-Ad-Mac Owner/Operator Association. “The McDonald’s All American Games presents the opportunity to preview the country’s up and coming basketball talent, and we’re excited to have our region represented by these outstanding players.”

The 36th annual Boys Game will tip-off on Wednesday, April 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET from Chicago’s United Center and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The 12th annual Girls Game will precede the Boys Game, beginning at 7 p.m. ET and will broadcast live on ESPNU.

Information regarding tickets for the 2013 McDonald’s All American Games is available at Ticketmaster.

Tickets start at $10 and include free parking.

There is also the popular family four-pack option which includes four tickets, four soft drinks and four hot dogs — all for $53.

Net proceeds from the games will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

The games have raised more than $10 million for RMHC since its inception in 1978.
