Commissioners wrap up 2012 with new appointments

Borough commissioners approved the appointments of several individuals to vacated positions within community groups at their Thursday, Dec. 27 meeting.

Janet Hallahan was appointed to the library’s Board of Trustees with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2017.

The Shade Tree Commission will see the additions of William Polise and Ann R. Koelling through Dec. 31, 2017, and alternates Walter Weidenbacher and Deborah Troiani as alternates through Dec. 31, 2013.

Weidenbacher and Troiani, said Mayor Tish Colombi, joined as branch managers.

“They’ve already shown that they are very interested in being on that commission,” she said.

Appointments related to insurance were also made, according to Commissioner Jeff Kasko.

For 2013, Neal P. Rochford was appointed as fund commissioner to the Southern New Jersey Regional Employee Benefits Fund to represent Haddonfield. Borough administrator Sharon McCullough was appointed as alternate fund commissioner.

Also for 2013, Henry D. Bean and Sons, Inc. was appointed as Haddonfield’s risk management consultant, while Rochford was appointed fund commissioner and McCullough alternate fund commissioner for the Camden County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund.

New roof

The Mabel Kay House, Haddonfield’s senior services center, needs a roof replacement.

At the meeting, commissioners voted to award a bid of $37,095 to Gen II Contracting Company from Clarksburg for the project.
