Two females arrested for using lost dog for burglaries

Two females using a lost dog ruse to case homes in the Willowridge development were arrested.

The Evesham Police Department is continuing to investigate a series of residential burglaries that have occurred in the Willowridge Development Nov. 15–16.

As a result of that investigation on Dec. 17, the Evesham Police Department arrested and charged two females responsible for the burglary spree.

Investigators from the Evesham Police, Cherry Hill Police and Medford Police worked together during this investigation and it was the cooperative effort, which led to the arrest.

During the investigation, it was determined that the two females would knock on the front door of a residence. If someone comes to the door they will ask for a fictitious person or state they are looking for a missing dog. If no one was home they would go around back and break into the home through a window or glass door. Once inside, the pair targeted cash and jewelry.

The first suspect, age 24, of Marlton, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of third-degree criminal attempt burglary.

She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $100,000 full cash bail.

The second suspect, age 26, of Medford, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of third-degree criminal attempt burglary.

She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $100,000 full cash bail.
