Cranberry Pines Elementary hosting “Giving Tree” donation drive

The Cranberry Pines Elementary School is currently hosting the “Giving Tree” donation drive until Dec. 19.

The drive will provide coats, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to the children of The Drenk Foundation.

“For the last six years we’ve been doing the ‘Giving Tree,’” said Lucas Coesfeld, principal of Cranberry Pines.

According to www.drenk.org, The Lester A. Drenk Behavioral Health Center (The Drenk Center) is a private, non-profit organization headquartered in Hainesport. With sites throughout the state, the center offers a full continuum of behavioral health and wellness services for children, youth, adults, and families.

Their services include prevention programs, outpatient therapy and psychiatric services, substance abuse programs, emergency and crisis intervention services, therapeutic foster care, residential programs, and case management services.

The school will be accepting donations until Dec. 19.

  • Cranberry Pines will collect new hats, gloves, and coats for boys and girls ages 5–12.
  • All items should be wrapped and have a cut-out placed on the exterior of the gift so they can be distributed.
  • The building is open from 8:15 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each day Monday through Friday.

Parents and members of the community can drop off donations at Cranberry Pines Elementary School located at 400 Fairview Road in Medford.

Stay posted with The Medford Sun, and a follow up story in the upcoming Dec. 19 edition of the paper.
