Several recent shoplifting incidents in Mt. Laurel

The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

A resident of the 3200 block of Limestone Way reported a fraud. More than $750 in unauthorized purchases was made online using the victim’s credit card. The incident occurred between noon on Nov. 30 and noon on Dec. 2.

An employee of Wegman’s on Centerton Road reported a shoplifting. More than $120 in merchandise was removed from the store without payment. The unidentified suspect fled when confronted by Wegman’s Loss Prevention outside the store. All items were recovered. The incident occurred at 12:02 p.m. on Dec. 5.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 44-year-old woman of the unit block of Cherrywood Court, Cherry Hill, on Dec. 5 for shoplifting $1,099 in merchandise from the Target on Centerton Road. Subsequent to arrest she was found to be in possession of heroin, prescription medication not prescribed to her, and drug paraphernalia. She was charged with shoplifting, possession of CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia and released after posting 10 percent of $2,500 bail.

An employee of the Twin Oaks Community Services on Union Mill Road reported a theft. Prescription medication, valued at approximately $100, was taken from an office inside the residence. The incident occurred sometime between 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 27, and 8 a.m. on Dec. 1. There was no sign of force to the exterior of the home.

A resident of the 700 block of Sable Lane reported an attempted burglary to a residence. The incident occurred between 9:45 a.m. on Dec. 5 and 9:45 a.m. on Dec. 6. A rear window was damaged but entry was not gained. Damage is estimated at $150.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested an 18-year-old man of the 100 block of Arch Street, Mount Holly, on Dec. 6 for the theft of more than $1,100 in cash from the Smoothie King on Dearborn Circle while employed there. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

An employee of Romantic Video on Route 73 reported a shoplifting. Merchandise valued at $158.99, was taken without payment. The incident occurred at 11 p.m. on Dec. 6.

A patron of Miller’s Ale House on Fellowship Road reported a theft from a vehicle. The incident occurred during an unknown timeframe during the evening of Dec. 6. $100 in cash was taken from inside the vehicle. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Damage is estimated at $250.
