POLICE: Several recent thefts in Mt. Laurel

The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 35-year-old man of the 5400 block of Aberdeen Drive, on Nov. 26 for the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle at the Wawa on Route 73 on Nov. 13. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 2600 block of Larchmont Place reported the theft of a laptop computer. The incident occurred on Nov. 27, between 4:30 and 7 p.m. The computer is valued at $600. The computer was removed from the front step of the residence.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested an employee of the Wawa on Route 73, a 26-year-old man, of the 3100 block of Georgetown Road, Cinnaminson, on Nov. 28 for credit card fraud. He fraudulently used a customers’ credit card to obtain gasoline. He was charged with credit card fraud and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 24-year-old man, of the 200 block of Countryside Lane, on Nov. 29 for shoplifting $149 in merchandise from the Home Depot on Nixon Drive. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A Pennsylvania resident reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of Mountainview Road. The incident occurred between 3:00 p.m. on Nov. 26, and 3 p.m. on Nov. 28. A Sirius radio, valued at approximately $100, was taken.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 19-year-old woman of the 1400 block of Route 38, Hainesport, on Nov. 29. She was arrested following an investigation into the theft of a credit card that occurred on Nov. 1 at the Friendly’s Restaurant on Route 38. She was charged with credit card theft and credit card fraud and committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.

A member of the LA Fitness club on Dearborn Circle reported the theft of an iPhone 5 and credit card. The incident occurred on Nov. 27 between 1 and 2 p.m. The phone is valued at $500.

An elderly township resident reported the theft of a cell phone and an attempted fraud. The incident occurred on Nov. 29 at approximately 11 a.m. An unidentified female suspect approached the victim in the area of the Centerton Square Shopping Center and stated she worked for a local bank. The suspect explained that she had negotiable financial documents worth over $100,000 to give the victim however, in order to complete the transaction the victim would need to pay several thousand dollars. During the encounter the suspect asked to use the victim’s cell phone and never returned it. The victim became suspicious and the suspect left the area with the cell phone.

An employee of the AT&T store on Nixon Drive reported a shoplifting. A Samsung Galaxy S II phone, valued at $500 was taken. The incident occurred on Nov. 30 at 7:20 p.m.

A township resident reported the theft of a purse from her vehicle while parked in the Mt. Laurel Wine and Spirits parking lot on Route 38. The incident occurred on Nov. 30, between 7:30 and 7:36 p.m. The purse and its contents are valued at $53.

A resident of the unit block of Ardleigh Court reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred on Dec. 1, between 7:05 and 9:50 p.m. Entry was gained by forcing the rear sliding glass door. Jewelry and coins, valued at over $2,000, were taken.

A Pennsylvania resident reported the fraudulent use of his credit cards at the Best Buy on Nixon Drive. The incident occurred on Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. Merchandise valued at over $11,000 was fraudulently purchased.

A resident of the unit block of Saw Mill Drive reported a criminal mischief to their residence. The incident occurred at 6:16 p.m. on Dec. 1. A baseball was thrown through an upstairs window. Damage is estimated at $100.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 20-year-old man of the unit block of Crows Nest Court, on Dec. 2. He was arrested at his home following an investigation into a robbery that occurred on Crows Nest Court on Dec. 2 at approximately 7 p.m. A 20-year-old man victim reported that he was robbed of his cell phone and wallet. The victim received lacerations from a knife that was used during the robbery. He was treated at Virtua Hospital and released. The suspect was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, weapons and drug offenses. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $112,500 bail.
