“Marjorie is the gold standard of care,” said Mary Ann Boccolini. “She upholds exceptional leadership skills, clinical competence, business acumen and an exemplary work ethic. Her commitment and drive serve as inspiration to the Samaritan staff that she supervises and mentors.”

Ivins began her Samaritan career as a nurse in 1998 and worked her way up to leadership of a clinical operation that serves 420 patients a day over a 2,200 square mile service area.

She has been instrumental in creating and supporting Samaritan programs and services to provide education, comfort, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families coping with the end of life experience.

Ivins has a bachelor’s of science in nursing from LaSalle University and a master’s of science in healthcare administration from St. Joseph’s University.

She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and Oncology Nursing Society/South New Jersey Chapter.

To better respond to the needs of patients, families and her staff, Ivins holds credentials as an Oncology-Certified Nurse (OCN) and a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN).
