Man arrested in Florida on sexual assault charges

The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On Aug. 24, a 25-year-old man of the 4900 block of 101st Ave., Coral Springs, Fl., was arrested on outstanding warrants from Mt. Laurel Township. The warrants stem from an incident that occurred on July 17 at a hotel in the 4000 block of Crawford Place in Mt. Laurel. He is accused of physically incapacitating and sexually assaulting a female victim. He is also accused of circulating inappropriate photos of the victim while she was incapacitated. He was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of invasion of privacy. Arrest warrants were issued on Aug. 22, with bail set at $300,000. He was apprehended at his home by the Coral Springs Florida Police Department on Aug. 24 without incident. He is currently housed in the Broward County Jail in Florida awaiting extradition.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 38-year-old woman of the 100 block of East Main Street, Moorestown on Aug. 27, for driving while intoxicated. She was involved in a single vehicle accident on Union Mill Road at 12:13 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. She was released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 300 block of Heather Drive reported the theft of her credit card information. The incident occurred between undetermined times from Aug. 21 through Aug. 28. Over $5,000 in unauthorized withdrawals were made from out of state ATM’s.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 52-year-old man of the unit block of Saddle Way, Chesterfield, on Aug. 29, for Driving While Intoxicated. He was stopped on Union Mill Road at 12:18 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 23-year-old woman of the 200 block of Pemberton Road, Browns Mills, on Aug. 29 for hindering. She gave false information to police in an effort to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant during at motor vehicle stop at 3:04 a.m. on Route 38. She was charged with hindering her own apprehension and released after posting bail on the outstanding warrant.

An employee of the Funplex on Route 38 reported a theft. An iPhone, valued at $300, was taken from an office inside the business. The incident occurred sometime between 8:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 27. There was no sign of forced entry to the building or office.
