Free tour, artists and shops at First Friday

The summer fun in Downtown Haddonfield continues during the town’s September First Friday celebration, taking place Friday, Sept. 7 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

September’s First Friday event will offer visitors an outstanding entertainment experience, on-street artists, and activities in many of Haddonfield’s exclusive, independently owned shops and boutiques.

A new addition to Haddonfield’s First Friday festivities is “A Walking Tour of the Shops and Stories of Haddonfield” — a walking tour of downtown Haddonfield featuring historical stories of the town’s past including tales of Elizabeth Haddon and the founding of the town, the Quakers, Revolutionary war comings and goings, and the dinosaur, as well as an brief introduction to many of Haddonfield’s shops and eateries. The tour kicks off from Kings Court at 7 p.m. and is free to attend.

Some of the live entertainment scheduled to perform are Mother Zeta performing at Kings Court; Dr. Lou Giunta performing at The Shops at 116, located at 116 Kings Highway East; strolling stilt walkers; and artist displays throughout Haddonfield’s downtown.

For more information about performers, locations and in-store sales, visit www.ShopHaddonfieldNJ.com and click on the First Friday icon.
