Crows Woods Gardeners will join together for their annual end of season picnic on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crows Woods complex pavilion.
The picnic is the year’s celebration of a successful gardening season. Gardeners are invited to bring food from their own kitchens to share, said Brenda Zadjieka, who is in charge of the event.
Gardeners are also encouraged to contribute produce and other non-perishable food for the South Jersey Food Bank in Camden to help feed the hungry.
In July and August, gardeners have contributed as much as 100 pounds of fresh vegetables a week to the food bank.
