Trespassers attempt to flee scene in Medford

According to the police report, on July 16 at 6:30 p.m., Medford Police located two subjects in the secure fenced-off section of the Medford Township Municipal Garage, located at two Commonwealth Drive.

After attempts to make contact with the individuals, they fled across the maintenance yard and scaled a six-foot high fence and into a wooded area.

Police located the suspects on the dirt portion of Cowpath Road.

The first suspect was identified as a 19-year-old man from Medford Township. He sustained minor injuries on his left hand while attempting to flee. The second suspect, identified as a juvenile from Moorestown Township, did not withstand any injuries in the chase. Both suspects were taken into police custody where they were charged with defiant trespassing.

The juvenile was released to his father’s custody at Medford Police headquarters. The adult suspect, after refusing medical treatment, was charged on a summons complaint and released pending a future court appearance.
