Evesham swimmers smash pool records

In the Tri County C-Division swim season opener, the Woodstream Barracudas defeated Old Orchard with a winning score of 292 to 261. Double winners for Woodstream were Megan Zeiler (8 and under girls) 25 breast in 25.19, 25 free in 19.38, Alexa Antonelli (8 and under girls) 25 back 25.06, 25 fly 21.91, and Gabriella Buck (9 to 10 girls) 25 back in 20.25, 25 fly in 17.03.

For the boys, Matt Zeiler (9–10 boys) 50 free in 37.88, 25 breast in 23.81, Matt Crysler (11 to 12 boys) 50 free in 34.28, 50 fly in 37.19, Ryan Fanelli (11 to 12 boys) 100 individual medley in 1:23.94, 50 breast 44.00 and Morgan Sage (13 to 14 girls) 100 free in 1:04.37 and 50 fly in 30.75

The 13 to 14 girls crushed two Woodstream Pool relay records. The 200-medley relay consisting of Nikki Broome (back), Breanna Gleason (breast), Morgan Sage (fly) and Jamie Bowne (free) finished first and went a 2:16.65 shattering the record that had been standing since 2002. The 200 freestyle relay also came in first, consisting of Jamie Bowne, Nikki Broome, Breanna Gleason and Morgan Sage posting a time of 2:00.50 to break the record that was established in 1999. Great start to the season for the Barracudas!
