House fire in Haddonfield results in charred deck, no injuries

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, Haddon Fire Company №1 and Task Force 14 responded to a reported dwelling fire at 123 Colonial Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters found a small porch fire and moderate smoke conditions.

The fire was quickly extinguished and there was no extension into the dwelling. The occupants (a husband, wife, two children and a house guest) were awakened by the smell of smoke and quickly evacuated to a neighboring property. There were working smoke detectors in the house. The cause appears accidental and is under investigation, Fire Chief Joe Riggs reported.
