Cherry Hill Police seek information on explosion

Cherry Hill Police seek information on explosion

On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10:14 p.m., the Cherry Hill Police Department, along with the Cherry Hill Fire Department, were dispatched to 1824 Route 70 East for a reported explosion. Arriving officers discovered two exploded plastic bottles around a gas pump area.

According to the pump attendant, the bottles were thrown from a small white car that was sitting in the Marlkress Road jug handle.

One of the bottles exploded right after the attendant had picked it up and put in the trash. There were no reported injuries and a joint investigation is being conducted by the Cherry Hill Police and Fire departments.
