The following items can be found on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:
• A Douglas Avenue resident reported to police on Jan. 2 at 1:53 p.m. that his back door was forced open. Officers arriving at the scene found a suspect upstairs sleeping in a bed.
He was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail.
• A dog bit a Washington Avenue resident on Dec. 23 at 5:52 p.m. The dog bit him on the leg and it appeared to break the skin. The dog was not registered with the borough and was in violation of a borough ordinance. The victim was not seriously injured.
The board of health was notified of the incident.
• A N. Haddon Avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 12 at 6:42 p.m. that a male using a Pa. license tried to pass a check at a bank. It was a forgery, the bank determined, and police were brought to the scene.
The suspect was charged with forgery.
• A Westminster avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 22 at 8:25 a.m. that a lock box was stolen and it contained $262 A similar theft also occurred on Gill Road and High Street in Haddon Heights.
• A N. Atlantic Avenue reported to police on Dec. 23 at 1:30 p.m. that someone opened an account in her name and ran up a bill of $635. She reported the incident to the three major credit companies and cancelled the account.
• A TD Bank employee reported to police that a 25-year-old female tried to cash a fraudulent check for $2,171 with a fake ID. A manager confronted the suspect and called the police.
The suspect was arrested and charged with forgery.
• A Tanner Street resident reported to police on Dec. 29 that $500 was stolen from a Christmas card in his home. There was no forced entry evident.
• Officers were dispatched to Upland Way on Dec. 24 for a report of a motorist crashing his car into a tree. The motorist was charged with DWI and transported to Cooper Hospital by the Haddonfield EMS.
• A Windsor Avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 19 at 8:23 p.m. that a PNC debit card in her name purchased $594 worth of goods at Walmart.com. The card was cancelled.
• A Lincoln Avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 19 at 3:58 p.m. left two boxes containing checks to the Haddonfield Educational Trust on his porch. They were stolen and contained several checks and cash to the HET.
• A Linden Avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 20 at 10:32 a.m. that an unknown suspect was paying bills from his PNC checking account starting on Nov. 18. The card was cancelled and the payments were reported.
• A Lincoln Avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 21 at 6:44 a.m. that sometime overnight an unknown suspect stole a mailbox in front of the home.
• A Chestnut Street resident reported to police on Dec. 21 at 7:15 a.m. that sometime overnight an unknown suspect stole several Christmas decorations from their home.
• A Washington Avenue resident reported to police on Jan. 1 that an unknown suspect damaged a flagpole in his front yard. The pole was bent on his front lawn.
The victim said the damage was about $100.
• An HMHS custodian reported to police on Dec. 31 at 12:27 p.m. that four to five white males had forced their way into the weight room, damaging the door frame. He found them in the “A” and “B” gyms and they said they wanted to play basketball.
The custodian contacted police but the suspects left in a white Volvo before officers could arrive on the scene.
• A Wilkins Avenue resident reported to police on Jan. 2 at 3 p.m. for a burglary on Dec. 30. The caller was advised that the suspect was already in custody for another incident. The caller signed charges of burglary and criminal mischief against the suspect and he was remanded to the Camden County Jail on $10,000 bail.
• A Marne Avenue resident reported to police on Jan. 2 at 3:18 p.m. that several Christmas decorations were stolen from the front yard of the home. A wooden, antique child’s sleigh was stolen.
An officer pulled over a suspect on Warwick Road on Jan. 2 at 1:27 p.m. The suspect had a warrant out for his arrest out of the Pine Hill Police Department. He was taken into custody and remanded to the Pine Hill Police Department.
