Ways to give back this holiday season at the Voorhees Town Center

The holidays are a time for shopping, baking, entertaining… and for giving.

Voorhees Town Center is encouraging local residents to help their neighbors in need this holiday season by providing convenient access to a Holiday Gift Wrap, benefitting Camden County Chapter of Hadassah Raquela Group, Holiday Food Drop for the Give Thanks program and a Giving Tree for Cooper Hospital’s Clare’s Cupboard.

“Voorhees Town Center takes pride in being an integral member of the community. At this time of year in particular, we are fortunate to work with several notable nonprofits to shine a spotlight on their causes,” said Maria Umbriac, mall marketing director. “Over the years, the mall has served as a top location for donations, as we have found that no matter the economic climate, our shoppers are very generous when it comes to charitable giving.”

Hadassah of Camden County’s Holiday Gift Wrap

Voorhees Town Center will continue its long-standing tradition of hosting dedicated volunteers from the Raquela Group of the Camden County Chapter of Hadassah, to wrap gifts for mall shoppers throughout the holiday season, enhancing the mall’s accommodating, enjoyable shopping experience. Choose from a wide selection of designs, topped by one of a huge assortment of ribbons and bows, Friday, Dec. 16 through Saturday, Dec. 24 at the gift wrap center near Things Remembered, hours may vary.

All donations received will benefit cancer research. Hadassah of Camden County is a national, volunteer Zionist organization for women with 300,000 members. The organization is guided by the Hebrew word “tzedakah,” based on the Jewish concept that we are all one, and helping those in need is both a religious right and spiritual act.

Give a Gift Holiday Food Drop

Give the gift of food on the table for area families in need this holiday season. Voorhees Town Center’s Give a Gift Holiday Food Drop, sponsored by Acme, will collect food in Acme shopping carts located in Macy’s Court now through Tuesday, Dec. 20 to benefit the Give Thanks program.

Shoppers can help by dropping nonperishable food items in the shopping carts or purchasing a PREIT American Express® Mall Gift Card for $20 or more at the Mall Management Office to donate to the Give Thanks program.

Holiday Giving Tree for Cooper Hospital’s Clare’s Cupboard

Share your good fortune and provide comfort and joy to those in need this holiday season by visiting the Holiday Giving Tree located in Macy’s Court now through Saturday, Dec. 24. Voorhees Town Center’s Holiday Giving Tree benefits Cooper Hospital’s Clare’s Cupboard, a local nonprofit that provides assistance to underprivileged families by supplying diapers, formula, baby clothes and port-a-cribs for newborns. Each ornament on the Giving Tree lists a recipient’s name and age along with gift ideas. To make a donation, take an ornament off the Giving Tree, purchase the requested gift, place the ornament on your unwrapped gift and return the present to the Bayada Nurses Office located on the Upper Level near Macy’s during mall hours.
