Who will be the next Haddonfield citizen of the year?

The Haddonfield Lions Club invites individuals and organizations to nominate a person to be the recipient of the 40th annual Citizen of the Year award. The deadline to submit nominations is Dec. 19.

A committee of community representatives will review the nominees and make the selection. The recipient will be announced by Mayor Tish Columbi at the annual Mayor’s Breakfast. The breakfast will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church on King’s Highway in Haddonfield.

The Lions Club seeks nominees whose achievements and contributions to the town make them worthy of special recognition. The only requirements for consideration are residency in Haddonfield and exceptional dedication to the community.

Each nomination must include nominee’s name, address, occupation, background, achievements, and a statement of support by the person or group making the nomination. Nomination forms are available at the Lions Club website, www.HaddonfieldLions.org.

Completed nominations can be emailed to the chairman of the Citizen of the Year Committee, Tom Baird, at tombaird@comcast.net or sent to Thomas H. Baird, 70 Lane of Acres, Haddonfield, N.J. 08033.
