Too many drive by eggings

The following items can be found on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:

•A resident reported to police on Sept. 1 at 2:56 p.m. that her son’s bicycle was stolen from overnight. The bicycle was a BMX style bike with “GTBUMP” sketched onto the frame.

The bike was at the Haddonfield Memorial High School but was unlocked. It was valued at about $200.

•A resident reported to police on Sept. 2 at 11:21 a.m. that a bicycle was stolen from HMHS sometime overnight. It was a Robbinson Cruiser style bike and was unlocked.

• A Potter Street resident reported to police on Sept. 2 on 8:55 a.m. that her vehicle had been egged, inside and out, sometime overnight.

There are no suspects in the case.

• A Center Street resident reported to police on Sept. 2 at 12:40 p.m. that she came out in the morning and saw that her car had been egged.

There are no suspects in the case.

• A Walnut Street resident reported to police on Sept. 4 at 3:27 a.m. that his fire safe had been stolen from a closet in his bedroom. The safe contained more than $2,000, his passport, birth certificate, and other important documents.

Police came to the scene. There was no evidence of forced entry into the home or the bedroom.

• A motorist driving on Ardmore Avenue reported to police on Sept. 5 and said that a driver in front of him was swerving erratically on the road. He was able to make the motorist pull over and wait for officers to arrive on the scene.

An officer arrived and said the motorist smelled of alcohol. The motorist then failed all of the sobriety tests administered by the officer.

The motorist was given a breathalyzer test and blew a .20 percent. He was arrested and charged with a DWI, driving without a license, and driving while suspended. He was charged, processed, and released to his sister.

• A S. Atlantic Avenue resident reported to police on 6:08 a.m. that a white male was sitting in the drivers side of her vehicle and looking through her car. She yelled out at the suspect, who then fled away from the vehicle.

The victim said the suspect stole about $7 from the car.
