Books, books, and more books (and other stuff)

The Haddonfield Friends of the Library invite you to join the library for its annual two-day book sale on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 25 from noon to 5 p.m.

Items for sale include over 20,000 hardbacks at $3, paperbacks from $1 to $2, cookbooks from $2 to $4, children’s books from $1 to $2, audio books, movies and music. Specially priced items will also be available. Books will be replenished throughout the day Saturday and before opening on Sunday. The group will be accepting book donations in good condition until Sept. 21.

Current friends’ members are invited to attend our second annual member preview sale and reception, Friday, Sept. 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. An assortment of books will be available for purchase (no scanners are allowed).

Come and enjoy snacks and desserts provided by local businesses and an evening with other book lovers. The group will also have several local authors discussing and selling their latest books. Attendees are welcome to bring rare books to be appraised, at no charge, by local book dealer Scott Hartman. Bid on unique themed baskets at the silent auction.

Please become a member of the Friends of the Haddonfield Library by joining online at www.HFOL.org, or the night of the event.

All events will be held under the tents on the lawn in front of the library, 60 Haddon Avenue, Haddonfield. All proceeds benefit the Haddonfield Public Library. Please join the group to make this event a great success.
