No, they don’t sell fleas there

A favorite early fall event — the Haddonfield Lions Club Flea Market — is coming up soon. Whether you plan to set up shop and sell your treasures or browse the sale for something special, the Lions Club Flea Market is the place to do just that.

Once again this year, the flea market is scheduled to coincide with the Haddonfield Library’s Book Sale. The flea market will happen on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library book sale goes on both days, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25.

The flea market will be held at One Centennial Square (33 E. Euclid Avenue), the Archer and Greiner parking lot, in Haddonfield. The library book sale will be held at library point, at the spot where Haddon Avenue and Tanner Street come together.

In addition to dozens of individuals and organizations offering a wide selection of items to buy, the flea market will feature a flower sale, with fall mums, the ever-popular food items table (who doesn’t need a giant jar of roasted peppers?) and refreshments, like Philly-style pretzels, breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers and drinks, for sale throughout the day.

And, remember to bring your used eyeglasses, cell phones, printer cartridges, hearing aids and canceled postage stamps for recycling to the Lions Club table.

In case of rain, the event will be held on the following Saturday, Oct. 1. Same time, same place.

Interested vendors can rent spaces (each is approximately 10' by 20') to sell their items, for $20 each. This is for a space only. Vendors provide their own tables.

Additional information and a space reservation form can be found on the Haddonfield Lions Club website at www.HaddonfieldLions.org. You can also contact HLionsClub@aol.com or call 856–795–6574 for a reservation form and information.
