‘Woofstock’ ready to howl in Voorhees

The 15th Annual Woofstock Pet Festival is ready to “howl” on Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Connolly Park on Centennial Boulevard in Voorhees.

Admission is $1. Senior citizens are free.

Leashed pets are both welcome and encouraged, but for your pet’s safety, please no retractable leashes.

Woofstock, which is the Animal Orphanage’s largest annual fundraising event, is made possible through the generous support of PHH Corporation.

This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever:

  • Meet the stars of TV’s Rescue Ink;
  • meet, greet and have your photo taken with the wolves from the Disney movie “Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” Also, learn more about wolves and how you can help protect these magnificent animals;
  • consult with internationally acclaimed animal psychic Dr. Liz Severino (advance appt. necessary — call (609) 743–6444);
  • meet best selling author Larry Levin and his dog Oogy, and purchase an autographed copy of “Oogy: The Dog Only a Family Could Love;”
  • visit dozens of animal rescue groups and meet the many animals available for adoption;
  • have your pet microchipped by the New Jersey SPCA;
  • buy crafts and other great items from the many vendors who will be there;
  • enjoy the music of Mike Lazar Entertainment;
  • and sample great food and beverages for sale.

Rain date is Sept. 11.
