There was a strong showing from three individual swimmers from Tavistock Swim Team, breaking five records this past Tri County Championship. Jessie Cashman from Haddonfield, broke the girls 15 to 18 fly record from August of 2000 with a new time of 30.44. Newcomer David Rowe from Cherry Hill, broke his own 13 to 14 fly and back record after breaking the records of previous swimmers this summer.
Also Charlie Taffet from Haddonfield who broke a 1969 15 to 18 individual medley record held by Chris Cartensen of 2:24.40 with a new time of 2:18.86. Charlie also broke his own 15 to 18 breast stroke record with a new time of 1:10.18.
Tavistock’s parade theme this year at tri county was “Superheroes”, and everyone is looking forward to a great season next year with its logo of “we will rise up” on the back of their tri county shirts.
