Sweet tooth thief loves candy

The following items can be found on file with the Moorestown Township Police Department:

• A complainant from the Sunnybrook Swim Club reported to police on Aug. 9 at 11:27 a.m. that sometime overnight a suspect forced open a security gate and removed candy that was on display in the club’s snack bar.

• A resident from the Bartram Court reported a male going door to door selling magazines on Aug. 8 at 6:36 p.m. Patrols located and identified the subject.

He was arrested on outstanding warrants and charged with a local ordinance violation for soliciting without a permit.

• A resident reported to police on Aug. 8 at 8:05 p.m. that a black SUV was driving around and throwing eggs at people. Patrols checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

• A complainant from the construction site at 101 E. Camden Avenue reported to police on Aug. 9 at 7:45 a.m. that sometime overnight a suspect entered a vacant apartment through an unlocked window and stole several tools.
