At approximately 10:58 a.m. this morning, a 1997 Lincoln Towncar operated by Dr. John Antolik, 78, of Voorhees was attempting to make a left turn from Evesham Rd. to Springdale Rd. when it was struck in the passenger side door area by a 2008 Nissan Rouge.
The Nissan, operated by Joseph Trasatti, 84, of Berlin, was traveling westbound on Evesham Rd. in the center lane as it entered the intersection and collided with the Lincoln.
The passenger of the Lincoln, Antolik’s wife, Josephine Antolik, 73, sustained fatal internal injuries, despite the determined efforts of Police Officers Harrison and Panno, who performed CPR until she was transported to Kennedy Hospital in Stratford.
The crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Squad. If anyone witnessed this accident, Cherry Hill Police are asking you contact Sergeant Michael Rann of the Traffic Squad at 432–8856.
