Rescue task force gets its first workout

According to Evesham Fire-Rescue, on Wednesday July 13 the Burlington County Technical Rescue Task Force was alerted to the Presidential Lakes section of Pemberton Township for a worker trapped in a tree sixty foot off the ground. Units from Pemberton Township and Fort Dix responded to the scene. Command requested that the Burlington County Technical Rescue Task Force be alerted and moved to the scene. Coincidentally, team members were at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center conducting a monthly drill at the time of dispatch.

Rescue 2218, Rescue 3221, Rescue 4318 and Rescue 2723 responded but were cancelled enroute by Pemberton Command, as local resources were able to rescue the victim from the tree. This was the first dispatch for the team since it was created in June 2011.
