Superintendent Richard Perry confirmed Friday afternoon that Dr. Noah Tennant will be leaving his position as principal of Haddonfield Middle School to lead a charter school in Philadelphia.
Perry said his resignation will be accepted next Thursday by members of the Haddonfield Board of Education. Tennant has already sent out a letter informing parents of middle school students about his decision to leave.
“It was a very hard decision for him, but he feels this is an opportunity to advance as an administrator. We’re really going to miss him, he’s extremely well liked from parents and students,” Perry said. “He’s a dynamic administrator. He’s not only well grounded in theory and practice, he’s just very well liked.”
Perry said he and the BOE are currently deciding how to best fill his position.
