Fourth of July was a blast

After a two year hiatus, Moorestown Township again welcomed its Fourth of July parade back to the township. The Moorestown Business Association hosted the parade on Monday, July 4.

Dave Schill, who heads up the parade committee, said the group has been trying to resuscitate the parade since it went on hiatus two years ago during a round of township budget cuts. Schill said the group has raised about $5,200, a bit more than the $4,000 needed to have adequate police presence at the event.

“It’s a celebration of our freedom, we want to do it up in a big way. But we have a limited budget. We’ll work our way up,” Schill said.
