According to The Sun of May 11–17, 2011, about 50 HEA members demonstrated because a contract has not been achieved with the Haddonfield School District.
These union members know the status of negotiations. Don’t fool yourself. These members are resident and non-resident. You don’t think they complain to others at home and elsewhere about the status of these negotiations. I have no problem with that interest and action.
However, all these folks in town and out are aware of that status, but no, not the taxpaying citizens of Haddonfield. That situation is ridiculous, unreasonable and arguably unconstitutional.
If its public revelation is prohibited by statute, such statute is unreasonable and arguably unconstitutional and should be respected.
It takes a courageous Board of Education or even one member to keep the public apprised and up to speed.
