Butter knife threat at HMHS

The following item can be found on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:

A female student at Haddonfield Memorial High School student was threatened earlier this week by another male student.

The assistant principal of HMHS reported to police on May 11 at 2:21 p.m. that a juvenile male student at the school threatened a female student during fourth period with a kitchen knife by holding it close to her body, she said.

The principal said the knife belonged to the school. The female student was turned over to her mother and left the school for the rest of the day.

The male suspect was interviewed by police. He was processed at the police department and then remanded into the custody of his mother, police reported.
