Have a question about the budget? Get out to the town hall tonight at 7:30 p.m. for the public hearing on the 2011 budget.
The commissioners will host questions on the document and then vote on the $13.9 million budget.
While the budget is only increasing by less than a percent, Commissioner Jeff Kasko previously said the local purpose tax rate will be increased by about 2 cents from the 2010 rate. Taxpayers will see a rate of a little more than 44 cents per every $100 of assessed property value.
For the average assessed homeowner of $491,359, this means an increase of about $87 in the municipal portion of your tax bill.
