Spring cleaning begins this week

By ROBERT LINNEHAN

Get out those rakes and your implements of destruction, it’s spring cleaning time for Voorhees Township.

The Public Works Department will be offering services for spring clean up. Larger than normal amounts of non-hazardous household trash from attics, garages etc. can be discarded. The township will also be offering leaf pickup again.

Place your leaves curbside in front of your house the weekend before your scheduled collection week and they will be picked up during the course of that week. Also, the township asks that all residents keep their leaf piles free of branches and twigs because such items will clog the chute.

This week, the Ashland Terrace, Beagle Club, Brian’s Run, Carriagebrook Farms, Country Lane, Franklin Square, Greenridge, Kirkwood, Main Street Estates, Mews, Old Ashland, Osage, Rygate, Three Ponds, and Turbridge sections of the township will have their materials picked up.
