Enlighten me

Recently there have been numerous letters with all the reasons against the building of Medford Crossings. All seem valid. I am especially concerned about the tax disparity. If one chooses to live in Medford then the appropriate fair share of taxes must be paid. No one lives here to subsidize their neighbor.

But in all these past weeks of opinions and pleas against it I rarely see anything from people who are for it. Who actually wants it? Who in Medford benefits from it? Is there any benefit for, the town and the existing residents?

Perhaps someone can explain why existing residents should commit to an additional financial burden.

As for the traffic, isn’t that one of the reasons why the “big box stores” were rejected? I am curious to know if the majority of residents want more expense and traffic.

Maybe they should consider an alternative. Instead of bringing the congestion and expense here perhaps they should go to where it already exists. Is there anyway to identify the argument for this expansion?
