The long-standing quarterly Masonic blood drive and pancake breakfast on behalf of the Community Blood Council of New Jersey is coming to Rising Sun Lodge №15, on Saturday, April 16, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Blood donated is made available to local state hospitals through the community blood council and any healthy person between the ages of 17 and 75 is eligible to donate. If older than 75 donors must have a doctor’s note and if younger than 17 donors must have a parent’s permission.
There are very few medications or conditions that would disqualify an otherwise healthy donor. Every pint donated has the potential to save three lives. Please consider coming out and donating a pint of blood if possible.
Collection will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Haddonfield Masonic Temple, 16 Kings Highway East, in downtown Haddonfield, within easy walking distance of the PATCO station. A buffet breakfast will be served throughout the collection period, complimentary to all blood donors. A charitable donation is requested from non-donors to defray the cost of food.
Freemasons are long-time supporters of blood collection efforts in the state. Until recently, collections in the area have taken place at Merchantville Lodge, but this year the collection site is being moved to Haddonfield as part of recognizing the formation of Rising Sun Lodge №15, now the largest Masonic lodge in New Jersey.
Rising Sun Lodge meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Contact the lodge at 428–4193, or via e-mail at [email protected], or visit our Web site at www.RisingSunLodge.org.
