Pasta dinner tomorrow (despite what banner says)

The Haddonfield Lions Club’s Annual Pasta Bowl Dinner is happening tomorrow, March 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Christ the King School Gym, 164 Hopkins Avenue, Haddonfield.

A banner hanging over Kings Highway publicized the wrong date of the event for March 27.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Advance tickets can be purchased from any member of the Haddonfield Lions Club, or at the Haddonfield Information Center, 216–7253. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event.

The buffet dinner will feature a selection of dishes, including baked ziti with bolognese sauce and bowtie pasta alfredo, handmade meatballs that are, as our chef notes, “baked, not fried,” and served with sautéed tri-colored peppers, onions and sweet and Italian sausage, chicken caesar salad, snowflake rolls, and dessert. Cold beverages are included with dinner. Beer and wine will be for sale.

The basket auction is also a popular part of the Pasta Bowl, representative Shen Shellenberger said. Last year auction winners went home with some fabulous gifts, including tickets for professional sporting events, gift certificates for local and regional restaurants and stores, bottles of wine and bubbly, passes to the museums, and much more.
