Monthly Medford Lakes jazz show featuring well-known musician

Well-known jazz saxophonist, Jerry Weldon, will headline this month’s installment of the monthly South Jersey jazz and blues showcase series in Medford Lakes.

Noted jazz organist Kyle Koehler and drummer Colby Inzer will complete Weldon’e trio for this March 12 show.

For three decades, tenor saxophonist Jerry Weldon has delighted jazz audiences worldwide with his performances. His distinguished professional resume includes being a charter member of music icon Harry Connick Jr’s band, along with recording numerous CDs as both a leader and sideman.

Among his other credits are co-leading a group with veteran jazz trumpeter Joe Magnarelli, along with performing and recording with many jazz legends including Mel Torme, George Benson, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Roy Haynes, Jimmy Cobb and Al Grey.

This concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall at Cathedral of the Woods Church, located at 100 Stokes Road and Mowhawk Trail. Tickets are $20, and $15 for seniors and students.
