Haddonfield commissioners extended a longevity freeze last night until March, keeping the salaries of all non-union borough employees the same..
The freezes have been in effect for managerial positions and non-union employees in the borough since 2009. The freeze will stay in effect until March 31, Commissioner Jeff Kasko said, and may be extended or revamped.
There are about 30 non-union employees in the borough. This does not affect the police officers.
In the past, employees working in the borough for five years would receive a 1 percent pay increase each year after. If working for 10 years, they would receive a 2.5 percent increase, and a 5 percent increase after 15 years.
At the meeting, Board of Education Vice President Dr. Cheryl Laney and Haddonfield Superintendent Richard Perry accepted a school board recognition proclamation from Commissioners Jeff Kasko, Ed Borden and Mayor Tish Colombi at last night’s borough meeting (pictured below). January is school board recognition month in the state.
