Snowy weather cancels sports

In anticipation of snowy weather, all Moorestown recreation and community school events have been cancelled for tonight, according to the Moorestown school district’s Web sites.

In addition, there have been cancelations and changes made to Moorestown High School’s game schedule for today and tomorrow, according to the district’s sports hotline.

The following changes have been made to the schedule:

• The JV girls’ basketball game vs. Westampton has been cancelled

• Freshman girls’ basketball vs. Westampton is still on for 3:45 p.m. at the MAC center on court 3

• The varsity girls’ basketball game has been moved up to 3:45 p.m. start time

• Girls swimming at Burlington County College vs. Cherokeehas been postponed to later date

• The varsity wrestling match scheduled for tomorrow against Pemberton has been moved up to Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at the MAC center

• All three levels of boys’ basketball are still on at Westampton: JV and freshman teams are scheduled to play at 3:45 p.m. and the varsity team is scheduled to play at 5:15 p.m.

No decision has been made about a delayed opening or closing for Moorestown schools tomorrow. Check back for further cancelations and closing updates.

Recreation basketball practices at the schools are cancelled for tonight, but basketball practices at the recreation center are still being held. The recreation center is still open until 8 p.m. tonight.
